Work EnvironmentThis full-time position is located onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in the picturesque town of Ashburn, Virginia. Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, utilizing a range of assessment tools to accurately identify their needs and develop tailored rehabilitation plans.
- Communicate evaluation results and proposed treatment plans effectively to patients and their families, fostering an environment of collaboration in goal-setting.
- Execute treatment protocols based on evidence-based practices, ensuring adaptability to each patient's progress and changing health status.
- Engage in interdisciplinary consultations with other healthcare providers when necessary, aiming to optimize each patient's care and documenting any significant changes in condition.
- Manage discharge planning and follow-up procedures, ensuring a seamless transition for patients from therapy to daily life while maintaining clear, comprehensive documentation of care.
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills to meet productivity standards, maintain punctuality for meetings, and keep an organized patient schedule.
- Participate in marketing and outreach initiatives to promote our services and improve community access to rehabilitation care.
- Contribute actively to departmental objectives and enhance service delivery processes, while adhering to all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Pursue ongoing professional development and education to maintain competency, and mentor students pursuing careers in physical therapy.
The Rehabilitation Center serves a diverse population, including individuals recovering from surgery, injuries, chronic pain conditions, and mobility impairments. Our therapists are skilled in addressing a range of physical challenges and optimizing functional outcomes through personalized care plans. You will play a crucial role in helping patients regain their independence and improve their function, ultimately enhancing their quality of life.
Qualifications- A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required to meet state licensing standards.
- Possession of a valid physical therapy license in Virginia is mandatory upon employment.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is required.
- A strong commitment to teamwork, continuous learning, and patient advocacy is essential for success in this role.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist is preferred, though passionate new graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations and knowledge of current rehabilitation techniques and technologies will be advantageous.
