Work EnvironmentOur onsite outpatient office is equipped with the latest therapeutic technologies and rehabilitation tools, creating a welcoming and dynamic environment for both patients and staff. As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will work Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, focusing entirely on patient care in a well-structured setting that allows for comprehensive treatment without the pressures typical in larger healthcare networks. Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient evaluations to determine individual treatment needs and goals.
- Develop and implement customized treatment plans that may incorporate exercise rehabilitation, manual therapy techniques, and functional mobility training.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, educating them about their conditions and outlining rehabilitation progress.
- Administer therapeutic exercises aimed at enhancing clients' strength, flexibility, and overall physical capabilities.
- Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Document all patient interactions and treatment sessions using EMR software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with health regulations.
- Minimize reliance on medications by promoting non-surgical interventions and lifestyle modifications.
- Encourage patient motivation and adherence to treatment programs to maximize recovery.
- Evaluate therapeutic outcomes and ensure continuous improvement in therapeutic techniques based on recent research and patient feedback.
Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients, including those recovering from sports injuries, surgery, and chronic pain conditions. You will engage with a wide range of individuals from different backgrounds, providing unique challenges and learning opportunities. Qualifications- Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT) from an accredited institution.
- A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida with no history of disciplinary actions.
- Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise program design.
- Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically WebPT, for documentation and patient management.
- Prior experience working as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient orthopedic setting is strongly preferred.
- A history of successfully administering physical therapy tailored to individual patient needs, leading to enhanced functional outcomes.
- Certification in specialized therapeutic techniques (e.g., McKenzie, Graston, etc.) is a plus.
