Work Environment

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will work Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, focusing entirely on patient care in a well-structured setting that allows for comprehensive treatment without the pressures typical in larger healthcare networks. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations to determine individual treatment needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement customized treatment plans that may incorporate exercise rehabilitation, manual therapy techniques, and functional mobility training.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, educating them about their conditions and outlining rehabilitation progress.
  • Administer therapeutic exercises aimed at enhancing clients' strength, flexibility, and overall physical capabilities.
  • Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
  • Document all patient interactions and treatment sessions using EMR software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with health regulations.
  • Minimize reliance on medications by promoting non-surgical interventions and lifestyle modifications.
  • Encourage patient motivation and adherence to treatment programs to maximize recovery.
  • Evaluate therapeutic outcomes and ensure continuous improvement in therapeutic techniques based on recent research and patient feedback.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients, including those recovering from sports injuries, surgery, and chronic pain conditions. You will engage with a wide range of individuals from different backgrounds, providing unique challenges and learning opportunities. Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT) from an accredited institution.
  • A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida with no history of disciplinary actions.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise program design.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically WebPT, for documentation and patient management.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience working as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient orthopedic setting is strongly preferred.
  • A history of successfully administering physical therapy tailored to individual patient needs, leading to enhanced functional outcomes.
  • Certification in specialized therapeutic techniques (e.g., McKenzie, Graston, etc.) is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
