Work Environment

The position is onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Norwalk. Our facility is designed to provide a welcoming and therapeutic atmosphere, equipped with advanced rehabilitation tools and technology. As part of our team, you will have access to collaborative spaces to discuss patient cases with colleagues, as well as private treatment rooms for one-on-one patient interactions. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced approach to work and personal time.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations to determine specific needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Provide hands-on care, employing various treatment techniques, including manual therapy and exercise prescription, to enhance patient mobility.
• Maintain a consistent patient load of one individual per hour to ensure focused, personalized attention.
• Regularly assess patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies based on objective measures and outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and care provided efficiently, utilizing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software such as WebPT.
• Educate patients on their conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to support their recovery process.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as primary care physicians and specialists, to ensure comprehensive care for each patient.
• Empower patients to engage in their treatment through motivation and encouragement, fostering a team-oriented approach to recovery.
• Address cost-effectiveness in treatment while minimizing reliance on medications and exploring non-invasive alternatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on patients suffering from orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain, and mobility issues. You will interact with a diverse group of individuals, requiring a compassionate approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt treatment plans to meet various patient needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Valid Physical Therapist license in California with no prior disciplinary actions.
• Exceptional manual therapy skills and proficiency in developing individualized exercise programs.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically WebPT, and an ability to use these tools effectively for patient documentation and management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with team members.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting, with a proven track record in patient care.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve patient goals and positively impact outcomes through evidenced-based practices.
• Experience in fitness and wellness program development, allowing for the customization of rehabilitation and wellness strategies.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 125,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
