Work Environment

This position is set in a vibrant orthopedic outpatient facility dedicated to home care. Here, you will work alongside two experienced physical therapists and one patient therapy assistant (PTA) within a well-equipped environment designed to foster therapeutic success. The facility is outfitted with state-of-the-art technology and therapy equipment, creating an optimal setup for delivering specialized treatments to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and understand the individual needs of patients through thorough evaluations and capture their health objectives effectively.
• Maintain a consistent patient load of one patient per hour, ensuring quality and individualized care.
• Employ your specialized knowledge to develop innovative treatment plans that address the unique challenges faced by each patient.
• Administer effective, cost-efficient therapeutic interventions that focus on enhancing range of motion and mobility.
• Minimize the need for surgical interventions and reliance on medications by offering alternative treatment options and effective rehabilitative techniques.
• Design personalized fitness, wellness, and exercise programs tailored to the specific requirements of each patient.
• Utilize your clinical judgment to motivate and encourage patients, optimizing their rehabilitation outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, adapting treatment plans based on effective outcome evaluations.
• Manage accurate documentation of patient care and treatment protocols to maintain relevant records.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient population consists of individuals needing orthopedic rehabilitation or injury treatment. You will be working with patients dealing with various musculoskeletal injuries, post-operative rehabilitation needs, and age-related degenerative conditions. Delivering personalized therapeutic approaches for each client will be crucial for success in their recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• No record of board or disciplinary actions on the license required.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise program design.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software such as WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting, with a proven focus on patient outcomes.
• Experience working within home care environments is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time role offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 130,000 to 140,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
