Triumph and Wellness Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Highland Park, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities- Design and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans targeting pain relief, muscle function restoration, and maximum physical performance tailored to each patient's capabilities.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, utilizing diagnostic tests and assessments to establish baseline levels of function and develop effective treatment strategies.
- Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure continuity and quality of care throughout the treatment process.
- Administer therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, exercise regimens, traction, and modalities that align with physicians' prescriptions.
- Evaluate patients' home environments and recommend necessary adaptations to enhance rehabilitation outcomes and independence.
- Maintain detailed clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, adhering to regulatory and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to tailor and adjust care plans based on patient progress and ongoing assessments.
- Engage patients and their families in educational discussions about therapy devices, home exercise programs, and overall health management.
- Participate in regular case reviews to enhance treatment protocols and contribute to the evolution of best practice guidelines in rehabilitation.
- Stay connected and accessible to Physical Therapy Assistants during patient sessions to provide guidance and support as needed.
The patients you will serve primarily include individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgical interventions, and chronic conditions affecting their mobility. You will provide essential support that empowers these clients to regain their independence and physical capabilities, addressing both their physical and emotional needs throughout the rehabilitation process.
Qualifications- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid physical therapy licensure in the State of New Jersey in good standing.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care with a focus on promoting clinical excellence and integrity.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities, with an aptitude for problem-solving in dynamic settings.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, essential for collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
- A minimum of one year of experience working as a physical therapist, preferably in an acute care or rehabilitation setting.
- Experience in outpatient therapy and familiarity with orthopedic rehabilitation protocols.
- Proficient in utilizing electronic medical record systems to document clinical findings and treatment progress.
This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
