Work EnvironmentThe position is based in our rehabilitation facility in Metuchen, New Jersey, where the work is primarily onsite. Our team works Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm. Key Responsibilities- Deliver customized physical therapy care tailored to each patient's unique goals and recovery objectives.
- Manage a balanced patient load to ensure quality care and dedicated time for each individual's treatment.
- Utilize your expertise in orthopedic conditions to deliver evidence-based interventions that effectively improve mobility and strength.
- Design and implement comprehensive treatment plans, integrating multiple therapeutic techniques and exercises.
- Promote non-surgical alternatives and emphasize lifestyle modifications to enhance patient outcomes while minimizing medication reliance.
- Conduct ongoing assessments to evaluate treatment efficacy and adjust techniques accordingly, ensuring optimal patient progress.
- Engage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, creating a supportive environment that encourages adherence to therapy.
- Document all treatments and patient interactions accurately using EMR software, particularly Web PT, to maintain thorough patient records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to address any multidisciplinary needs.
- Promote wellness initiatives within the facility to enhance overall patient outcomes, focusing on strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
Our outpatient clinic serves a diverse population of patients, primarily focusing on those recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic pain conditions. As an integral member of the care team, you will work closely with individuals seeking to restore functionality and improve their daily life activities. Your expertise will be vital in building trust and rapport with patients, ensuring they feel supported and informed throughout their rehabilitation process.
Qualifications- A completed Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
- An active Physical Therapist license in New Jersey, with no history of sanctions or board proceedings.
- Exceptional knowledge and application of various manual therapy techniques and modalities.
- Proven ability to create and execute effective exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
- Competency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, specifically Web PT, for accurate and efficient documentation.
- A commitment to continuing education and staying current with contemporary physical therapy practices based on research.
- Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting, with a focus on sports medicine is preferred but not mandatory.
- Advanced skills in conducting thorough patient evaluations and developing individualized rehabilitation programs.
- History of collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
The salary range for this full-time position is competitive, starting at USD 100,000 and can go up to USD 120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
