Work Environment

The position is onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Independence, Missouri. You will work in a friendly, supportive atmosphere alongside other skilled healthcare professionals. Our typical patient volume allows for focused, individualized care with an average of 1 to 2 patients per hour, enabling each therapist to develop robust therapeutic relationships and tailor interventions adequately.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations to identify individual rehabilitation needs and create tailored treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to facilitate recovery.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, making informed adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date documentation of patient care through real-time updates in our EMR system, WebPT.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care and to ensure seamless service continuity.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Authentic Hand Physical Therapy, you will primarily work with a diverse population of orthopedic patients. These may include individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and other musculoskeletal disorders. Your approach will be patient-centric, focusing on understanding each patient's unique challenges and goals to design an appropriate recovery strategy.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid Missouri Physical Therapy license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with patients and collaborate with colleagues.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in physical therapy practices.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Familiarity with the WebPT EMR system is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in managing a caseload with a focus on quality outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Compensation and Benefits
