Work Environment

Located in the sunny city of Lakeland, our outpatient office promotes a collaborative atmosphere where therapists, physicians, and support staff work in unison. The typical schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to understand their unique goals and physical challenges, ensuring personalized treatment plans are established.
• Design and implement innovative therapeutic programs aimed at improving mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing patients' functional abilities.
• Utilize a variety of modalities and treatment techniques, such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and electrotherapy, to optimize rehabilitation outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans, maintaining accurate records of therapy sessions, evaluations, and outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on the rehabilitation process, home exercise programs, and lifestyle modifications to promote ongoing recovery and health maintenance.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to coordinate care plans and optimize patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role involves working with a diverse population of patients suffering from orthopedic injuries and conditions. You will address issues related to sports injuries, post-surgical recovery, chronic pain, and general mobility impairments. Your therapeutic interventions will be guided by the goal of improving patients' functional capabilities, facilitating their return to work, activities, and sports as swiftly and safely as possible.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• An active state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida is mandatory, ensuring adherence to local regulatory standards.
• A minimum of three years of specialized experience in orthopedic physical therapy is essential, showcasing your ability to manage a variety of musculoskeletal conditions effectively.
• Strong foundational knowledge of orthopedic assessment techniques, treatment modalities, and evidence-based practices.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are vital to foster relationships with patients and work efficiently within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting, particularly working with a broad spectrum of orthopedic patients.

Compensation and Benefits
