Work Environment

Our Ashburn rehabilitation center provides an onsite atmosphere that encourages teamwork and professional growth. Our operational hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, promoting a balanced work-life dynamic for our staff.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Rehabilitation Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:

  • Conducting comprehensive evaluations for patients with orthopedic injuries and conditions, gathering pertinent medical histories, and performing necessary assessments.
  • Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans based on clinical evidence, evaluation findings, and patient goals.
  • Executing advanced therapeutic techniques and modalities, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education to facilitate recovery.
  • Documenting all patient interactions, treatment protocols, and clinical assessments clearly and timely to reflect the patient's progress and ensure continuity of care.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to discuss patient care and progress, seeking consultation when changes in patient conditions arise.
  • Providing thorough discharge planning and follow-up care recommendations, ensuring patients have the knowledge and resources for ongoing recovery.
  • Staying current with advancements in physical therapy practices through professional development and training opportunities.
  • Maintaining adherence to state and federal regulations, ensuring compliance with corporate standards for clinical operations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily be working with patients recovering from a wide range of orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain syndromes, and postoperative orthopedic care. Your role is critical in helping these individuals regain mobility, strength, and confidence as they navigate their path to recovery.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
  • A valid state physical therapy license or the ability to acquire one as required by Virginia state regulations.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.
Preferred Experience

We are looking for candidates with at least 2 years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy, demonstrating a strong ability to implement effective treatment strategies and adjust care plans based on ongoing patient assessments. Experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting is highly desirable.
