With a clear focus on outpatient services, our therapy team works weekdays from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing structured and consistent care.

Key Responsibilities

As a Pediatric Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive evaluations of pediatric patients to assess their physical capabilities and limitations.
  • Developing personalized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each child, focusing on various conditions including neurological, orthopedic, and developmental disorders.
  • Implementing therapeutic exercises and activities designed to improve strength, coordination, and mobility in children.
  • Educating families about the best practices for at-home exercises and engaging parents in their child's treatment journey.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and physical therapy assistants, to ensure holistic care for our patients.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and any communication with caregivers or other health professionals.
  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and stay current with best practices in pediatric therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with pediatric patients, ranging from infants to adolescents, who may have difficulties due to a variety of physical, developmental, or neurological challenges. Your empathy and expertise will not only facilitate recovery but also inspire and motivate children and their families to engage fully in the rehabilitation process.

Qualifications
  • A valid New York State Physical Therapy License.
  • CPR certification.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, with preference given to candidates with a Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited institution recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
  • Strong clinical assessment skills, with a proven ability to diagnose issues effectively and devise suitable treatment interventions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with children and their families.
Preferred Experience

While pediatric experience is strongly preferred, we value a diverse range of backgrounds. Candidates with at least two years of clinical experience will be considered, emphasizing commitment and skill in pediatric physical therapy.
