Work Environment

This role is an onsite position, primarily focused on home care settings within the Manassas area. Our therapists will interact directly with patients in their homes, facilitating a personal connection that enhances therapy sessions. Typical workdays are Monday to Friday, structured around patient availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, diseases, or surgeries within their home environments.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating diverse therapeutic methodologies, including therapeutic exercises, stretching routines, hands-on therapy, and specialized equipment to alleviate pain and promote mobility.
  • Implement and adjust treatment plans based on patients' progress and responses, ensuring continuous improvement towards therapeutic goals.
  • Document all treatments, responses, and outcomes meticulously in our electronic health record system to maintain accurate patient histories and facilitate interdisciplinary communication.
  • Train patients, families, and caregivers on the use of assistive devices and appropriate physical therapy techniques to empower them in their recovery process.
  • Stay updated with innovations in physical therapy through ongoing education, workshops, and professional networking to ensure best practices in treatment approaches.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, including children, elderly individuals, and adults who face various physical challenges due to injuries or chronic conditions. Our patients often require tailored therapeutic approaches that respect their unique circumstances and encourage maximum independence in daily activities.

Qualifications
  • A Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
  • Must hold a valid physical therapy license in the State of Virginia.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective patient engagement and documentation.
  • Proficient computer skills for utilizing electronic health records and telehealth platforms.
  • A flexible mindset to adapt to various patient needs and schedules.
Preferred Experience
