Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to assess each patient's physical condition and functional capabilities.
  • Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans that align with the unique goals of each patient.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and clinical expertise to integrate various therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy and targeted exercise regimens.
  • Manage a reasonable caseload to ensure personalized attention, ensuring comprehensive care throughout the recovery process.
  • Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment plans as necessary to maximize effectiveness.
  • Educate patients and their families about their conditions and outline strategies for self-care and injury prevention.
  • Advocate for non-surgical treatment options that foster patients' recovery without excessive reliance on medications.
  • Document each patient encounter accurately using EMR software, specifically Web PT, to track progress and maintain compliance.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and rehabilitation specialists, to provide holistic care and improve patient outcomes.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions and wellness programs focusing on strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The orthopedic physical therapist will work primarily with patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, orthopedic surgeries, and chronic pain conditions. Our client base includes athletes, active seniors, and individuals seeking rehabilitation for conditions such as post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic back pain. Understanding the specific needs and goals of these diverse patients is key to delivering effective therapy.

Qualifications
  • Completion of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
  • An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida is mandatory; candidates must have a clean license with no history of sanctions or board proceedings.
  • Proficiency in a variety of manual therapy techniques and a strong ability to develop successful exercise programs.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • A strong understanding and application of current evidence-based physical therapy practices.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred, with a demonstrated history of effective patient management.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR), particularly Web PT, is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position comes with a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skill set.
