Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist working in our outpatient office, you will be part of a warm, friendly environment that encourages collaboration among therapists, physicians, and support staff. Your schedule will be Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for work-life balance while providing essential care to our community.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting thorough evaluations of patients to develop customized treatment plans that address individual needs and goals.
  • Providing hands-on therapy, including exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities, to improve patient function and mobility.
  • Monitoring patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and documenting outcomes with precision in our electronic health record system.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Managing a caseload of approximately seven patients per day, ensuring each session is engaging, effective, and tailored to the patient's rehabilitation journey.
  • Providing education and support to patients and their families about treatment options, home exercise programs, and steps for ongoing recovery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and age-related ailments. By focusing on empowering patients, you will help to instill confidence in their abilities, guiding them toward achieving their personal health goals.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a current New York State Physical Therapist License.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required, with candidates holding a Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in an outpatient setting is essential.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with specific therapies such as manual therapy, myofascial release, or aquatic therapy is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of patient management software and electronic health records would be beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits
