Work Environment

This physical therapist position is an onsite role, located in Springfield, Illinois. Your workplace will feature a modern rehabilitation facility outfitted with advanced therapeutic equipment and resources. You will be collaborating with a small, dedicated team of two other physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA) who are equally committed to patient care. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify each patient's unique goals and needs.
• Develop comprehensive care plans utilizing a wide range of treatment techniques, ensuring targeted interventions.
• Provide 1:1 patient care, seeing 2-3 patients per hour, delivering effective therapy while actively monitoring progress.
• Incorporate evidence-based practices into treatment sessions, utilizing cost-effective methods to enhance mobility and function.
• Educate patients about their conditions and present alternatives to surgery or medication to encourage a holistic approach to recovery.
• Create and implement fitness and wellness programs that cater specifically to individual patient needs.
• Foster a motivating environment that encourages patients to adhere to their treatment regimens and enhance their physical capabilities.
• Consult with other healthcare professionals to align on patient treatment strategies and ensure comprehensive care.
• Document all patient interactions and progress accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) software such as WebPT.
• Continuously evaluate treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans as needed based on patient feedback and progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus at Gotham Enterprises Ltd is on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries or surgeries. We primarily service individuals who seek to restore mobility and function after experiencing musculoskeletal challenges. Our clientele includes a diverse population, ranging from athletes wishing to return to their sport, to elderly patients striving to maintain independence through improved physical capacity.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Valid Illinois Physical Therapist License; no board actions or disciplinary actions must be present on the license.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in therapeutic exercises.
• Familiarity with EMR systems such as WebPT.
• A commitment to providing patient-focused, evidence-based care.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic outpatient physical therapy.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
• Experience in a fast-paced clinical setting that prioritizes quality patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
