Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fully-equipped rehabilitation center designed to provide therapeutic interventions and state-of-the-art therapies in a supportive atmosphere. The facility spans 5,000 square feet and incorporates advanced sports medicine practices, making it a hub for orthopedic outpatient physical therapy. You will work closely with a small team of dedicated professionals, including two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant, all focused on enhancing patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and prioritize the unique objectives and physical needs of each patient to develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Provide individual therapy sessions with an expected patient load of one patient per hour, ensuring personalized care and attention.
  • Implement targeted interventions using a variety of therapeutic techniques to improve patients' mobility and overall physical well-being.
  • Encourage the adoption of preventive measures and lifestyle modifications to minimize reliance on medication and explore non-surgical therapies.
  • Create customized fitness and wellness programs that promote rehabilitation and support ongoing health objectives.
  • Document and communicate patients' progress, treatment outcomes, and any adjustments in care with precision and accuracy.
  • Engage in continual professional communication with other healthcare providers to ensure holistic care for patients.
  • Encourage patients during their rehabilitation journey to achieve independence and enhance their quality of life.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on individuals who are covered by private medical insurance, providing you with an opportunity to work with patients experiencing a range of orthopedic conditions. You will be interacting with diverse clientele, each with their own unique goals, including but not limited to post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management.

Qualifications
  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or higher (Doctorate preferred) from an accredited institution.
  • Hold an active and valid license as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
  • Maintain a clean professional record with no board or disciplinary actions against your license.
  • Exhibit proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise program development.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, preferably WebPT, is highly advantageous.
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic outpatient settings.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in designing individualized therapeutic interventions.
  • Previous experience working with a diverse patient population in rehabilitation environments.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive yearly salary ranging from USD 130,000 to 140,000, commensurate with experience.
