Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Physical Therapist Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting licensed Physical Therapists with comprehensive patient evaluations, ensuring respectful and thorough assessments.
- Modifying treatment plans and implementing therapeutic exercises under the guidance of the supervising therapist, continually prioritizing patient comfort and needs.
- Instructing and supervising patients on various therapeutic exercises; using an empathetic approach to ensure comprehension and safety.
- Employing modalities such as heat and cold therapy, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation to manage pain and enhance functional outcomes.
- Providing education to patients and their families on home exercise techniques to promote independence and facilitate recovery.
- Monitoring patient progress meticulously and documenting outcomes with attention to detail and accuracy.
