Work Environment

This position is full-time and onsite, necessitating your presence at our Hayward facility. You will collaborate with a tight-knit team comprising two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA) to provide comprehensive care. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a stable work-life balance while you focus on making a positive impact in the lives of the patients you serve.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs, recognize personal goals, and develop individualized treatment plans aimed at restoring mobility and functionality.
• Maintain a dedicated patient load, typically treating one patient per hour, to ensure focused, quality care.
• Engage in orthopedic outpatient care, leveraging your expertise to provide cost-effective physical therapy solutions that minimize reliance on medications and explore non-surgical alternatives.
• Employ evidence-based practices to develop and customize fitness and wellness programs tailored to the specific requirements of each patient.
• Document patient interactions and treatment sessions thoroughly, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and facilitating effective communication across the care team.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to assess treatment effects and monitor patient progress, ensuring optimal outcomes.
• Inspire and motivate patients throughout their treatment processes, reinforcing healthy lifestyle changes, strength improvement, flexibility enhancement, and balanced coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be aiding patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including but not limited to musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain conditions. With a patient base mainly comprising individuals covered by private insurance, you will play a vital role in guiding them through tailored rehabilitation programs aimed at enhancing their overall mobility and functional capacity.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in California with no disciplinary actions against the license.
• A minimum of two years of experience in orthopedic outpatient care is essential.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in designing effective exercise routines tailored to patient goals.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, and the ability to utilize these tools efficiently for documentation and patient tracking.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in multi-disciplinary healthcare settings where teamwork and patient collaboration are emphasized.
• Proven success in patient recovery outcomes, showcasing a dedication to improving patient health metrics.
• Familiarity with contemporary rehabilitation technology and methods that support the rehabilitation process.

Compensation and Benefits
