Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our rehabilitation facility in Cape Coral, which is known for its modern design and welcoming atmosphere. You will work within a multidisciplinary team that includes physiatrists, occupational therapists, and additional rehabilitation specialists, all dedicated to improving patient outcomes. The clinic operates from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, allowing for a well-defined work schedule that promotes work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients presenting with orthopedic conditions to develop individualized treatment plans aimed at improving functional mobility and overall quality of life.
  • Implement and adapt treatment protocols based on the latest evidence, evaluating progress and modifying plans to ensure effective rehabilitation.
  • Consult with other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care when necessary, effectively communicating any changes in patient status that may require a shift in treatment approach.
  • Document all patient interactions, evaluations, and progress notes accurately and timely within our electronic health records system to maintain compliance and ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in discharge planning and rehabilitation follow-up, ensuring clear communication of patient progress and needs to caregivers and family members.
  • Engage actively in continuous education and compliance training to remain up-to-date with evolving healthcare regulations and best practices.
  • Contribute to facility meetings and initiatives aimed at enhancing patient access to care and removing barriers to effective rehabilitation services.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will involve treating patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain conditions. You will work with a diverse population, including athletes, post-operative patients, and individuals with degenerative disorders. Your expertise will allow you to tailor treatments to each patient's specific needs, promoting better outcomes and quality of life.

Qualifications
  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program is required.
  • Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in Florida.
  • A minimum of two years of outpatient orthopedic experience.
  • Current CPR certification is necessary to ensure patient safety.
Preferred Experience

While the minimum requirement includes two years of outpatient orthopedic experience, candidates with additional credentials or specialized training in pain management, sports therapy, or manual therapy techniques will be viewed favorably. Familiarity with electronic health record systems is also beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
