Work Environment

The role of the Physical Therapist is located within our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center, which is equipped with cutting-edge technology and treatment equipment designed for optimal patient rehabilitation. You will work onsite in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere alongside a team of medical professionals, including doctors, occupational therapists, and staff dedicated to enhancing patient health and wellness. The work schedule is from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, providing a predictable work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to understand their individual needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Implement and manage therapeutic interventions for orthopedic conditions, focusing on restoring movement and improving functional abilities.
  • Utilize hands-on manual therapy techniques alongside modern rehabilitation equipment to facilitate effective recovery.
  • Design and administer individualized exercise programs that reflect evidence-based practices while ensuring patient safety and engagement.
  • Educate and empower patients on self-management strategies to promote independence in their rehabilitation journey.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care for complex patient cases.
  • Continuously monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records using EMR software, particularly WebPT, ensuring compliance with documentation standards.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and share knowledge with colleagues.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse clientele, including athletes recovering from sports injuries, individuals recovering from surgery, and patients with chronic pain conditions. You will leverage your expertise to create positive experiences for patients of all ages, helping them regain mobility and improve their overall well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a closely related field.
  • Current active Physical Therapist license in the state of Connecticut, with a clear record free from sanctions.
  • Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in physical therapy, preferably in an outpatient clinical setting.
  • Proven proficiency in a variety of manual therapy techniques and therapeutic modalities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tailor interventions based on patient progress.
  • Proficiency in using EMR systems, specifically WebPT, for accurate patient documentation and tracking outcomes.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing exercise programs tailored to meet varying patient needs.
  • Experience with sports rehabilitation, orthopedic conditions, and pain management strategies.
  • Knowledge of current physical therapy research and treatment methodologies.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 60,000 to 104,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
