Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to assess their needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient's unique condition, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine specialties.
  • Utilize advanced therapeutic modalities and techniques to enhance patient mobility and functional abilities, adhering to each physician's prescribed plan of care.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, ensuring a positive experience for patients and collaborating effectively with the healthcare team to maximize patient outcomes.
  • Educate and train patients and their caregivers about their treatment plans and home exercises to ensure the continuity of care.
  • Achieve minimum utilization goals and actively participate in achieving the overall business objectives of the practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

At Sutter Care, our diverse patient population includes individuals recovering from sports injuries, orthopedic surgeries, pediatric concerns, and neurological conditions. Our therapists employ a holistic approach, engaging with each patient to understand their specific challenges and goals, further enhancing their recovery experience.

Qualifications
  • Graduation from an APTA or CAPTE-approved physical therapy program.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is mandatory.
  • Valid state license in Physical Therapy, allowing you to practice in Virginia.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to form meaningful relationships with patients.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills to maintain accurate patient records.
  • Ability to build robust relationships within the community to improve patient outreach.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a physical therapist in a rehabilitation or outpatient setting.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, particularly in orthopedic and neurologic therapy.
  • Familiarity with documenting patient progress using electronic health records (EHR).
Compensation and Benefits
