Resurge Rehab & Therapy is seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to join our exceptional rehabilitation team in Ashburn, Virginia. Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM. Here, you will spend your days engaged with patients in a supportive environment, utilizing the latest treatment technologies and methodologies to maximize functional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Resurge Rehab & Therapy, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of residents to determine their physical capabilities and limitations.
• Developing personalized treatment plans that cater to individual needs and rehabilitation goals, and adjusting plans as necessary based on patient progress.
• Administering physical therapy treatments aimed at improving strength, balance, mobility, and overall functional independence.
• Engaging in interdisciplinary care planning by collaborating with occupational therapists, speech therapists, nursing staff, and physicians to optimize patient care.
• Educating patients and their caregivers about therapy goals, prescribed exercises to continue at home, and strategies for preventing injuries.
• Documenting all therapies provided, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and organizational standards.
• Assisting with discharge planning by assessing functional improvements and recommending necessary follow-up services or equipment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will primarily be on geriatric patients, many of whom require rehabilitation following surgeries, mobility impairments, or chronic disease management. You will be instrumental in helping them overcome challenges and improve their quality of life. Your empathy and respect for each patient's dignity will be crucial as you guide them through their recovery journey.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A current Virginia Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Certification in CPR, or a willingness to obtain it upon hiring.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, prior experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation hospitals, or working with geriatric populations is strongly preferred. A background in geriatric rehabilitation will enhance your ability to connect with our residents and effectively meet their specific needs.
