Work Environment

You will be working onsite in our advanced rehabilitation facility that primarily serves patients with private health insurance. Our clinic focuses on a multidisciplinary approach, where teamwork and collaboration are valued. Your regular work hours will be from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a stable schedule that allows you to better serve your patients while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer direct patient care based on the written prescription from referring physicians or authorized practitioners.
  • Conduct thorough and efficient evaluations to accurately assess patient conditions and needs.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment programs, continually monitoring patient progress to modify interventions as required.
  • Document patient treatment and progress meticulously in compliance with departmental policies, ensuring timely communication with the care team.
  • Handle emergencies by employing established department procedures to prioritize patient safety.
  • Engage in family meetings and cooperate with interdisciplinary staff to enhance the management and wellbeing of patients.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives through active participation in chart reviews and departmental activities.
  • Complete additional responsibilities as needed to support patient care and facility operations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be primarily working with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, including those participating in sports and fitness activities. The clinic's environment supports a diverse patient population seeking rehabilitation to regain strength and mobility. Your role is crucial in guiding patients through their recovery journey, addressing both physical limitations and emotional considerations to promote holistic healing.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Maryland.
  • Demonstrated absence of any boards or disciplinary actions against your license.
  • Strong manual therapy skills, enhancing treatment efficacy and patient comfort.
  • Proven ability to develop tailored and effective exercise routines for diverse patient profiles.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, especially WebPT, and proficient in their use for patient documentation and tracking.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is highly desirable, allowing for familiarity with the unique challenges your patients may face.
  • Previous involvement in quality improvement initiatives within a clinical setting will be an asset.
  • Experience carrying out interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance patient management and rehabilitative care.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
