Work EnvironmentThis onsite role allows you to work directly with patients in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility, equipped with modern therapeutic tools and technologies. You will be expected to work primarily Monday to Friday, fostering a healthy work-life balance while maintaining high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive evaluations including taking detailed medical histories and performing relevant assessments that shape individualized treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively the findings of evaluations and treatment strategies to both patients and their families, ensuring they are actively involved in setting achievable goals.
- Implement evidence-based treatment protocols, closely monitoring patient progress and making necessary adjustments to the care plan based on ongoing assessments.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care, documenting significant changes in patients' conditions and advocating for needed adjustments to their care as necessary.
- Execute effective discharge planning that prepares patients for successful reintegration post-treatment, ensuring continuity of care through follow-up communication.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient interactions, including evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes, aligning with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Manage time efficiently to meet productivity standards while participating in community outreach and marketing initiatives aimed at enhancing patient access.
- Contribute to departmental goals through proactive engagement in team meetings, sharing best practices, and participating in the development of improvement strategies.
- Seek out ongoing education opportunities to stay current with industry advancements, while serving as a mentor and clinical instructor for students or less experienced staff members.
You will primarily be working with patients facing complex orthopedic challenges, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Utilizing a patient-centered approach, you will develop personalized therapy sessions that address their unique needs, optimizing their rehabilitation journey for improved mobility and quality of life.
Qualifications- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required. Candidates with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy will be prioritized.
- Possession of a valid state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
- No prior work experience is necessary but a strong desire to learn and provide high-quality patient care is essential.
While not mandatory, previous experience in outpatient settings, particularly with orthopedic populations, is considered advantageous. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and experience in multidisciplinary team settings will enhance your candidacy.
