Metro Physical Therapy & Wellness is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our team in Portland, Connecticut. Metro Physical Therapy & Wellness is a reputable private practice that specializes in orthopedic outpatient care. Our facility is designed with state-of-the-art equipment and spans over 5,000 square feet, making it a hub for sports medicine and rehabilitation. Our attentive team currently consists of two experienced physical therapists and one Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), all committed to delivering exceptional patient care. We primarily serve patients with private medical insurance, allowing us to provide personalized, focused treatment plans.

Work Environment

As a full-time Physical Therapist at our rehabilitation center, you will work onsite from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Our collaborative environment fosters communication and teamwork among healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for each patient. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to efficiently identify and prioritize patients' therapeutic goals.
• Manage a caseload with a focus on one patient per hour, ensuring personalized attention for optimal recovery.
• Develop and implement comprehensive care plans that utilize a variety of treatment techniques.
• Apply cost-effective treatment modalities aimed at improving patients' range of motion and mobility.
• Explore and recommend non-surgical options to reduce reliance on pain medications.
• Design customized fitness and wellness programs tailored to each patient's unique needs and capabilities.
• Document patient evaluations and progress diligently in our electronic medical records system, WebPT.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to cultivate a cohesive approach to patient care.
• Motivate and support patients throughout their treatment journey, fostering a commitment to rehabilitation.
• Encourage the adoption of a healthy lifestyle by enhancing patients' strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Evaluate and monitor treatment outcomes, maintaining open lines of communication with patients and their families.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and conditions affecting movement and function. We are dedicated to offering specific therapeutic services that align with each patient's unique recovery journey, always striving to instill confidence and independence in their physical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active and valid Connecticut (CT) license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Proven track record of maintaining a clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against your license.
• Strong expertise in manual therapy techniques relevant to orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Exceptional competence in developing and executing effective exercise protocols for diverse patient needs.
• Experience using WebPT or similar electronic medical record (EMR) software is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Clinical experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly valued, particularly in the areas of sports injury rehabilitation.
• Demonstrated success in patient engagement and the ability to motivate clients through their recovery process.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
