Work EnvironmentThis position will be based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Ashburn, Virginia. The facility is designed to create a welcoming and therapeutic atmosphere for patients. Our work hours are Monday through Friday, with a standard 40-hour work week, allowing for work-life balance while ensuring you can dedicate time to your patients.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical capabilities, after which you will develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
- Utilize a variety of physical therapy techniques and modalities, showcasing your expertise in addressing orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases.
- Engage with patients and their families to provide education on therapeutic exercises, techniques to support recovery, and strategies for pain management in alignment with physician referrals.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress and outcomes, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
- Participate actively in team meetings and discussions to share insights and strategies to enhance patient care and organizational effectiveness.
- Set and strive to meet clinical utilization goals and contribute to the overall operational success of the facility.
As a Physical Therapist at Tufts, you will primarily serve a diverse clientele, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your role will involve working closely with patients of all ages, addressing not just their physical rehabilitation needs but also fostering their emotional and psychological well-being through compassionate care and support.
Qualifications- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
- A valid physical therapy license in Virginia.
- Graduation from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in necessary computer applications and electronic health record systems.
While a minimum of two years of relevant experience is required, we particularly value candidates who have specialized training in areas such as sports rehabilitation, pediatric therapy, or neurological conditions. Familiarity with evidence-based treatment methodologies will enhance your ability to provide the best patient care.
