Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical capabilities, after which you will develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
• Utilize a variety of physical therapy techniques and modalities, showcasing your expertise in addressing orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases.
• Engage with patients and their families to provide education on therapeutic exercises, techniques to support recovery, and strategies for pain management in alignment with physician referrals.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress and outcomes, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
• Participate actively in team meetings and discussions to share insights and strategies to enhance patient care and organizational effectiveness.
• Set and strive to meet clinical utilization goals and contribute to the overall operational success of the facility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Tufts, you will primarily serve a diverse clientele, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your role will involve working closely with patients of all ages, addressing not just their physical rehabilitation needs but also fostering their emotional and psychological well-being through compassionate care and support.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid physical therapy license in Virginia.
• Graduation from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients and multidisciplinary teams.

Compensation and Benefits
