Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their physical therapy needs and establish personalized treatment plans, ensuring each patient's unique goals and limitations are adequately addressed.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions that incorporate a variety of techniques, including manual therapies and therapeutic exercises, to promote optimal recovery.
  • Maintain an effective patient load that allows you to devote time and attention to individual patients, enhancing their experience and outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure continued improvement and achievement of set goals.
  • Educate patients about their conditions and the importance of following their treatment plan to foster autonomy and encourage active participation in their rehabilitation journey.
  • Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, to maintain accurate documentation of consultations, treatments administered, and patient progress, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Advocate for non-surgical treatment options, aiming to enhance motion and mobility while minimizing reliance on pharmaceuticals where possible.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Cora, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals recovering from surgery, athletes seeking performance enhancement, and patients with chronic pain or movement disorders. Our approach focuses on personalized care that addresses not just the symptoms but the underlying issues affecting each patient's mobility and overall health.

Qualifications
  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
  • An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia with a clean record free of sanctions or board proceedings.
  • Exceptional proficiency in various manual therapy modalities and exercise prescription.
  • Strong knowledge of current research-supported physical therapy techniques.
  • Ability to effectively use EMR systems, particularly WebPT, for precise documentation and patient management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective patient interaction and collaboration with team members.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in outpatient orthopedics, particularly in settings focused on sports medicine, is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing customized fitness and wellness programs for patients.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to USD 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
