Work EnvironmentThis position is located on-site at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Jefferson City, a city known for its vibrant community and rich history. Our facility is equipped with advanced therapeutic tools and technology to support patient recovery. As a part of a collaborative healthcare team, you will work closely with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Physical Therapist in our orthopedic clinic, your day-to-day activities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess the functional and physical needs of patients recovering from orthopedic conditions.
- Developing and implementing customized treatment plans based on individual patient assessments and evidence-based practices.
- Delivering hands-on therapy, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and functional training to achieve the best outcomes for patients.
- Providing one-on-one patient care without the use of aides or techs, ensuring that each patient receives focused and individualized attention during their therapy sessions.
- Utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems to maintain accurate clinical documentation and track patient progress effectively.
- Collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team to create and modify treatment plans that reflect patient progress and evolving needs.
- Participating in continuous professional development through mentorship programs led by fellowship-trained therapists.
Our facility serves a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will treat patients of various ages and backgrounds, allowing you to employ a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to each individual's unique recovery journey.
Qualifications- A Bachelor's, Master's (MPT), or Doctorate (DPT) degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- A valid and active Physical Therapy license in the state of Missouri.
- Strong foundation in orthopedic rehabilitation with an understanding of clinical assessment and treatment methodologies.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
- Competence in working collaboratively within a team-based care model, enhancing overall patient care.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic or rehabilitation settings.
- Demonstrable proficiency in manual therapy techniques and rehabilitation protocols specific to orthopedic care.
- Experience in managing electronic health records (EHR) and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
- Competitive salary range of $90,000 – $110,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
