Key Responsibilities

• Assess and treat an assigned caseload of patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, implementing personalized physical therapy interventions to promote optimal health outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team, including doctors, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to develop comprehensive care plans focused on the holistic well-being of each patient.
• Conduct thorough evaluations to determine patient needs, selecting appropriate assessment tools, outlining measurable goals, and using evidence-based practices in your treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all patient interactions within our electronic medical record system, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and policies.
• Screen patients for specific rehabilitation needs, including fall risks and lymphedema symptoms, providing specialist referrals when necessary.
• Guide and supervise students and interns, contributing to their educational development while pursuing your own professional growth in the clinical ladder.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques, including proficiency in trigger point therapy, to alleviate pain and restore function while educating patients on their condition and self-management strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric clients. You will develop and implement treatment strategies that cater to individuals with physical, cognitive, or emotional challenges. Exposure to varied cases enhances your professional skillset and ensures that patient care is at the forefront of your daily practice.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida PT License is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Strong anatomical and physiological knowledge relevant to patient care.
• Experience in working with pediatric patients is highly valued.
• Ability to work efficiently in both inpatient and outpatient clinical environments.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated competency in providing comprehensive inpatient care.

• Previous experience in mentoring or supervising clinical students or interns.
