Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to develop tailored treatment plans that address their unique needs.
- Implement hands-on therapy techniques, using a variety of modalities, including exercise, manual therapy, and modalities to relieve pain and promote function.
- Educate patients and their families on effective home exercise programs and self-care strategies to ensure continuity of care outside the clinic.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to offer a holistic approach to patient care.
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes meticulously, maintaining accurate client records to guide ongoing treatment adjustments.
You will primarily treat patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. These patients may include young athletes, adults undergoing rehabilitation after surgery, and seniors managing chronic pain. Your expertise will be critical in helping these individuals regain mobility and improve their overall physical health.
Qualifications- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Active state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
- Minimum of three years of clinical experience, which may include internships or residency programs.
- Strong foundational knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy, conditions, and therapeutic modalities.
- Skills in manual therapy techniques and the ability to adapt treatment plans based on patient progress.
- Experience working in outpatient rehabilitation settings, particularly with sports medicine and post-operative care.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems to ensure seamless patient record management.
