Work EnvironmentOur rehabilitation facility in sunny Orlando boasts state-of-the-art equipment and a welcoming atmosphere where teamwork and community engagement thrive. As part of a supportive onsite team, you will work Monday through Friday for a total of 40 hours each week, ensuring a work-life balance that allows you to focus on patient care while enjoying everything Orlando has to offer.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical conditions and functional abilities, developing customized treatment plans based on clinical assessments.
- Utilize evidence-based techniques to provide effective treatment to a diverse patient population, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases.
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, ensuring patients and their families feel supported and informed throughout the rehabilitation process.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes, contributing to treatment discussions and planning to address complex cases.
- Provide home health services when applicable, incorporating therapeutic exercises and innovative techniques that align with physicians' directives.
- Educate patients and their caregivers on treatment protocols, exercises, and lifestyle modifications aimed at enhancing recovery and preventing injury.
- Meet established performance goals and contribute to the growth of our practice by fostering patient satisfaction and effective care delivery.
The patients you will serve are diverse, ranging from young athletes to elderly individuals recovering from surgeries. In this role, you will employ your specialized knowledge to address their unique rehabilitation needs, guiding each patient toward achieving their functional goals and improving their overall quality of life.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution recognized by APTA or CAPTE.
- Current, valid Physical Therapy License in the state of Florida.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members.
- Proficiency in using technology and software for patient documentation and scheduling.
- A strong commitment to building relationships with patients and the community, fostering trust and collaboration.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting.
- Experience working with a variety of patient demographics, preferably in outpatient settings.
- Familiarity with specific orthopedic, neurological, and pediatric conditions.
- Demonstrated ability to implement therapeutic exercises both clinically and in a home health environment.
