Work Environment

Located in picturesque Oak Lawn, Illinois, our facility is well-equipped with the latest technology and treatment modalities in the field of sports medicine and physical therapy. As a member of our clinical team, you will collaborate closely with two other physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA) in a supportive and energetic environment. Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:

  • Assessing and identifying patient needs and functional goals to develop customized treatment plans.
  • Providing hands-on physical therapy services to 2-3 patients per hour, ensuring a thorough approach for each individual.
  • Utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques to enhance patient mobility, including manual therapy, exercise programs, and patient education.
  • Reducing reliance on medications and offering alternatives to surgical interventions whenever possible.
  • Documenting patient care services using EMR software such as WebPT, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Motivating and supporting patients throughout their treatment to foster independence and promote a healthy lifestyle.
  • Collaborating with healthcare providers from various disciplines to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
  • Continuously evaluating patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals seeking rehabilitation for orthopedic injuries, sports-related conditions, and post-surgical recovery. Our diverse patient population includes athletes, active adults, and elderly patients, each requiring personalized care tailored to their specific needs. Your ability to connect with and understand the unique challenges faced by each patient will enhance their recovery experience and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
  • A valid Illinois Physical Therapist License with no board actions or disciplinary actions against it.
  • Proven experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, demonstrating strong clinical skills and patient-focused care.
  • Excellent manual therapy skills, with a strong ability to design and implement effective therapeutic exercises.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates who have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy.
  • Additional certifications in specialized therapy techniques or modalities.
  • A familiarity with case management and collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package featuring:
