Summit Motion LLC is looking for a dedicated Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to enhance our orthopedic outpatient practice located in the vibrant city of Lansing, Michigan. Our facility focuses on delivering exceptional care for patients with a variety of orthopedic conditions, including musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical recovery, sports-related injuries, and chronic orthopedic issues.

Work EnvironmentYou will be working onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center, which is designed to promote healing and recovery. The facility features well-equipped therapy rooms, advanced rehabilitation technologies, and a friendly, collaborative atmosphere. The clinic operates Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients suffering from various orthopedic conditions, including implementing standardized assessments to determine functional abilities and restrictions.
- Create and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs, ensuring the use of appropriate therapeutic modalities.
- Administer hands-on therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and functional training aimed at restoring mobility, building strength, and maximizing functional ability.
- Educate patients on essential topics like injury prevention strategies, biomechanics related to their conditions, and developing effective home exercise programs to reinforce treatment progress.
- Collaborate effectively with orthopedic surgeons, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary for optimizing rehabilitation outcomes.
- Monitor and document patient progress meticulously using our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system to track treatment effectiveness and patient responses.
- Continually enhance your skill set by engaging in ongoing professional development and staying current with the latest research in orthopedic rehabilitation and physical therapy practices.
Our practice primarily caters to individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, athletes managing post-injury rehabilitation, and patients experiencing chronic orthopedic pain. You will engage with a diverse demographic, tailoring interventions to address their distinct needs and helping them regain confidence in their mobility and daily activities.
Qualifications- A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Michigan is required.
- A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or an equivalent qualification is essential for this role.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a diverse patient population.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on the latest clinical evidence.
- A compassionate, patient-centered approach that prioritizes the healing and recovery of patients.
- The capability to work independently, while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation or outpatient setting is preferred, ideally with exposure to orthopedic conditions or sports rehabilitation.
- Previous experience utilizing EMR systems for documentation and patient tracking.
