Key Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored one-on-one physical therapy sessions for up to seven residents each day, ensuring attention to individual needs and progress.
• Utilize comprehensive assessments to identify specific physical challenges and formulate personalized treatment plans that align with established treatment goals.
• Employ a variety of hands-on techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, to enhance mobility, alleviate pain, and facilitate functional recovery.
• Maintain meticulous documentation using our electronic medical records (EMR) system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate regularly with a cohesive multidisciplinary team to discuss patient care strategies, share insights, and optimize therapy outcomes.
• Encourage and motivate patients to achieve their therapy goals, fostering a positive environment that supports resilience and determination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on adult and geriatric patients recovering from various conditions, such as post-surgical rehabilitation, orthopedic injuries, stroke recovery, and other mobility challenges. You will play a crucial role in assisting these individuals as they navigate their paths to recovery, enhancing their ability to perform daily activities independently. The diversity of cases not only makes each day unique but also allows you to utilize a range of therapeutic approaches.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active Physical Therapy licensure in Virginia, with a strong understanding of state practice regulations.

Compensation and Benefits
