Work Environment

The ideal candidate will work onsite at our rehabilitation facility, where we foster a supportive and collaborative work culture. The work week generally consists of Monday through Friday, with some rotating hospital shifts on weekends to ensure comprehensive patient coverage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' conditions through thorough assessments to determine functional limitations and impairments, devising personalized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs.
  • Set therapy goals in collaboration with patients and their families, ensuring clarity and understanding regarding the therapeutic process.
  • Implement treatment programs as ordered by physicians, utilizing a variety of therapeutic interventions and modalities tailored to each patient's age and development.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, documenting all evaluations, treatments, and progress notes in a timely manner while adhering to professional jargon pertinent to skilled therapy.
  • Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and other support personnel, facilitating optimal patient care delivery and ensuring achievement of stated goals.
  • Communicate regularly with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to foster a collective approach to patient care.
  • Contribute constructive feedback during team meetings to enhance productivity, improve patient outcomes, and promote professional development.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our rehabilitation facility focuses on providing care to a wide range of patients with various conditions including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, neurological disorders, and chronic pain management. You will play a crucial role in guiding each patient through the recovery process, using your expertise to tailor treatments that address specific challenges they face.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university.
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of New Jersey.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective patient interaction and documentation.
  • Proficiency in fundamental computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a Physical Therapy setting is preferred, showcasing practical knowledge in rehabilitative practices.

Compensation and Benefits
