Work EnvironmentOur rehabilitation facility features state-of-the-art equipment and a supportive atmosphere focused on teamwork and collaboration. As a full-time Physical Therapist with Get Up Set Up Medical Center, you will work onsite, allowing you to engage directly with patients and their families. You will benefit from a flexible scheduling model, with the opportunity to choose your hours between Monday and Friday, fostering a balanced work-life integration.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your daily activities will include:
- Evaluating and treating patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions in a comprehensive rehabilitation setting.
- Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans utilizing various intervention methods, such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modern equipment to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
- Regularly monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes, setting and redefining therapeutic goals.
- Documenting treatment sessions, patient responses, and outcomes in compliance with facility protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Educating patients, family members, and caregivers on exercise techniques, posture, and the usage of assistive devices to promote independence.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated care for each patient, attending rounds and meetings as required.
- Staying current with industry best practices by actively participating in continuing education workshops and professional organizations.
You will work primarily with a diverse patient population that includes children and adults facing a variety of orthopedic conditions ranging from sports injuries and surgical recoveries to chronic pain syndromes. The role emphasizes developing therapeutic relationships with patients, providing personalized care tailored to each individual's rehabilitation journey.
QualificationsTo be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- A current and valid state license in Physical Therapy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey treatment plans and motivate patients.
- Proficiency in computer skills relevant to documentation and patient management systems.
- A flexible and adaptive mindset, willing to meet the evolving needs of our patients.
While prior work experience is not mandatory, candidates with experience in orthopedic settings or home health care will be given preference. Experience with specific rehabilitation technologies and treatment modalities, as well as a dedication to lifelong learning, will greatly enhance your contributions to our team.
