You will be part of a dynamic team of healthcare professionals, including physical therapists and physical therapy assistants, who work together to provide comprehensive care. Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Physical Therapist, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical capabilities and limitations, thereby setting personalized goals.
- Designing and implementing tailored treatment plans that address the specific needs and goals of each patient.
- Administering one-on-one therapy sessions, providing interventions that promote movement and function, with a typical caseload of about 7-8 patients daily.
- Utilizing a diverse range of therapeutic techniques, including exercise design, manual therapy, and modalities such as estim and hot packs.
- Overseeing the use of fitness equipment like treadmills, stationary bikes, and elliptical trainers to facilitate patient engagement and warm-up exercises.
- Monitoring patient progress and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on individual responses.
- Maintaining up-to-date and accurate documentation of patient care as required by organizational and licensing standards.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and maximizing therapeutic outcomes.
Your practice will predominantly focus on athletes and individuals engaged in sports activities, providing rehabilitation for various conditions, including knee pain, lower back discomfort, shoulder injuries, and elbow issues. By delivering specialized care to this demographic, you will play a crucial role in helping clients return to their desired activity levels post-injury.
QualificationsTo be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Current Physical Therapist license issued by the state of Virginia.
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
- Proven experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
- Strong knowledge of orthopedic conditions and physical therapy treatment methodologies.
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication capabilities, ensuring effective collaboration with patients and colleagues.
- A compassionate, patient-centered approach that emphasizes enhancing the patient experience.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and patient management.
While a minimum of one year of experience is required, candidates with additional years in specialized settings or further certification in orthopedic therapy will be given preference. Experience in designing exercise and wellness programs will be considered an asset.
Compensation and BenefitsThis position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 120,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
