Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Physical Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

• Evaluating patients' physical conditions through detailed assessments and diagnostic testing to establish effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Implementing personalized rehabilitation programs that focus on enhancing physical capabilities, aiding recovery, and minimizing pain.
• Overseeing the performance of physical therapy assistants to guarantee high standards in the delivery of treatment protocols.
• Delivering hands-on therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, functional exercises, and activities of daily living training.
• Monitoring and recording patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and providing feedback to clients and their families about the outcomes.
• Coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to devise comprehensive care strategies that align with each client's overall health goals.
• Ensuring all clinical documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, is accurate, completed timely, and maintained in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Engaging with clients and their families to educate them about treatment protocols and physical therapy techniques that can be practiced at home.
• Participating in team meetings and case conferences, contributing your insights on treatment efficacy and patient care plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess the following:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current licenses to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia, held in good standing.
• At least one year of hands-on experience in physical therapy, preferably in an acute care or rehabilitation environment.
• Up-to-date CPR certification and valid driver's license with appropriate insurance coverage.
• A commitment to quality, clinical excellence, and the ability to connect with patients empathetically.

Preferred Experience

While the required experience is a minimum of one year, candidates with backgrounds in orthopedic rehabilitation, sports therapy, or geriatric care will find significant advantages in our patient care environment.
