Work EnvironmentThe role of Orthopedic Physical Therapist is predominantly onsite, with a focus on home care interventions. You will engage with patients in the comfort of their homes, creating a familiar atmosphere that supports optimal healing and motivation. Our team collaborates closely with other health professionals, including physicians and nurses, ensuring that every intervention is aligned with the patient's overall care plan. This position requires a full-time commitment from Monday to Friday, between the hours of 9 AM and 5 PM, allowing for a stable work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical capabilities, establish baselines, and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
- Utilize current evidence-based practices to implement specialized therapies aimed at improving mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing the overall quality of life for patients in orthopedic settings.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team—comprising physicians, nurses, and other therapists—to coordinate care and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about therapeutic strategies, home exercise regimens, and injury prevention techniques to promote self-management and recovery.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment interventions, and evaluations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
Your primary focus will be on patients requiring orthopedic rehabilitation, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. By conducting thorough assessments and employing targeted interventions, you will help facilitate recovery and improve the functional abilities of your patients. This role nurtures patients from diverse backgrounds, with varying levels of mobility and rehabilitation needs.
Qualifications- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (or higher), either Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
- An active New Jersey Physical Therapy License is essential for consideration.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience, with a preference for those with direct involvement in outpatient or orthopedic settings.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR for Healthcare Professionals.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and team members.
While a minimum of 2 years is required, candidates with a background in manual therapy techniques or experience working in home care settings are particularly desirable. A proactive approach to continuing education and professional development will be highly regarded.
