Work Environment

This role is conducted onsite in our well-designed rehabilitation center, which fosters a collaborative and motivating atmosphere for both staff and patients. You will join a close-knit team of two other physical therapists and a licensed physical therapy assistant (PTA) committed to excellence in patient care. Our practice primarily caters to patients with private health insurance, offering you the opportunity to focus on delivering optimal outcomes rather than administrative concerns.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with patients to accurately assess their goals and specific rehabilitation needs, ensuring a therapeutic alliance based on trust and communication.
• Manage a caseload of 2-3 patients per hour, providing individualized attention and tailored treatment during each session.
• Utilize comprehensive orthopedic knowledge to develop evidence-based care plans incorporating a variety of treatment modalities, such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and advanced modalities.
• Implement innovative wellness and fitness programs that empower patients in their recovery and promote long-term health maintenance.
• Encourage patient compliance with treatment protocols by providing motivational support, education, and practical strategies during sessions.
• Consult regularly with other healthcare professionals to optimize integrated care and ensure coordinated treatment planning.
• Track and document patient progress meticulously, using electronic medical records (EMR) software, specifically WebPT, to monitor outcomes and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Reduce reliance on medication through effective, cost-efficient therapies that foster natural recovery pathways and rehabilitation.
• Foster a welcoming environment that prioritizes patient well-being and education on healthy lifestyle choices, including strength, flexibility, and balance enhancement.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves a diverse client population seeking orthopedic rehabilitation, many of whom are recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. Through our specialized care, you will directly impact their functional abilities, enhancing their quality of life and facilitating a smooth return to their daily activities.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid Virginia Physical Therapist License without any board actions or disciplinary issues.
• Proficient manual therapy skills and a solid foundation in therapeutic exercises.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly WebPT, for efficient patient record management.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist, preferably in orthopedic outpatient settings.
• Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing successful treatment plans in a rehabilitation environment.
• Skills in patient motivation and effective communication that foster strong therapeutic relationships.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
