Work Environment

This position is performed onsite at our modern rehabilitation center in Fords, New Jersey, where the atmosphere is vibrant and patient-centered. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists, to ensure comprehensive care. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation technology and resources that will support your efforts in delivering effective treatments. You'll be working Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, ensuring a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations, crafting individualized treatment plans based on clinical evaluations and patient needs.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols, adjusting strategies as necessary based on continuous monitoring of patient progress and outcomes.
• Provide ongoing documentation of patient care, including detailed notes from evaluations, daily treatment logs, progress summaries, and discharge evaluations that comply with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address and modify treatment plans, playing an integral role in case discussions and patient care meetings.
• Engage with patients and their families to explain treatment plans, set realistic expectations for recovery, and offer education on injury prevention and health maintenance.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives within the facility, actively seeking to remove barriers to patient access and enhance the delivery of care.
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations, including completing necessary corporate and clinical training.
• Contribute to a positive workplace culture by participating in staff meetings and sharing insights that could improve team dynamics and patient care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals seeking rehabilitation for orthopedic conditions, including but not limited to sports injuries, post-surgical recovery, and age-related musculoskeletal issues. Our therapists are skilled in addressing the unique challenges faced by each patient, ensuring that our therapeutic approach is rooted in understanding their specific circumstances and recovery goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting, demonstrating a hands-on proficiency in therapeutic techniques.
• Valid CPR certification, with ongoing commitment to safety and emergency preparedness in a clinical environment.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum requirements include two years of outpatient orthopedic experience, candidates with advanced certifications in specialized treatment approaches or those with experience in managing complex cases will be considered favorably. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and rehabilitation-specific software is a plus, as it enhances our team's efficiency and communication.

Compensation and Benefits
