Flexibility First Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time Physical Therapist to join our compassionate team. Our focus is on individualized treatment programs, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored specifically to the needs of each patient. As a member of our team, you will be part of a supportive environment alongside two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA) who share a commitment to health and recovery.

Work Environment

The physical therapist will work in an onsite rehabilitation setting with a standard schedule of Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. Our facility is designed to foster collaboration and communication among staff, ensuring that each team member can contribute to the patient care process effectively. Key Responsibilities
  • Assess individual patient needs and develop comprehensive treatment plans to address their specific goals.
  • Manage a patient load with a maximum of one patient per hour to guarantee personalized attention and quality of care.
  • Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions that enhance mobility, improve strength, and reduce pain, with an emphasis on non-surgical approaches.
  • Regularly evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments.
  • Provide continuous encouragement and motivation to patients throughout their rehabilitation process, ensuring they remain engaged and focused on their recovery goals.
  • Incorporate evidence-based methodologies into practice and stay updated with the latest advancements in physical therapy.
  • Document all patient interactions and treatment methodologies in adherence to compliance and insurance requirements.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic treatment approaches for patients.
  • Design fitness and wellness programs that bolster client motivation and support their long-term health objectives.
  • Promote preventive care measures that educate patients about maintaining their physical health post-therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary clientele includes individuals with private medical insurance who seek rehabilitation services for orthopedic injuries, post-operative recovery, and sports-related conditions. As an integral member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with a diverse patient demographic, focusing on improving their quality of life and enabling safe, effective physical activity.

Qualifications
  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
  • Current and valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
  • No history of board or disciplinary actions on practicing license.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on ability in manual therapy techniques.
  • Familiarity with exercise program design and implementation tailored to various needs.
  • Proficient in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR), specifically WebPT.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in pain management strategies and non-invasive treatment options.
  • Experience in collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
Compensation and Benefits
