Work Environment

This position will be performed onsite at our well-equipped Rehabilitation Center in Bridgeport, CT. In addition to traditional therapy settings, we incorporate modern technology and evidence-based practices to facilitate superior therapeutic outcomes. Our work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, giving you the opportunity to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations: Assess patients' physical abilities and limitations through detailed examinations and create personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual's needs and goals.
• Deliver expert therapy services: Provide a range of therapeutic interventions, including therapeutic exercises, hands-on manual therapy, and specialized modalities, ensuring skilled care that also addresses emotional needs.
• Monitor and document progress: Regularly track patients' advancement toward their therapeutic goals, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to maximize outcomes.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams: Work alongside physicians, occupational therapists, and other care providers to create a holistic, integrated approach to patient rehabilitation.
• Educate clients and families: Instruct patients and their caregivers on therapeutic techniques, home exercise regimens, and strategies to prevent injuries, enhancing their ability to manage health at home.
• Implement safety programs: Introduce fall prevention programs and safety measures within the assisted living community to help reduce the risk of accidents and promote a safe living environment.
• Stay abreast of industry advancements: Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops and seminars to enhance your clinical skills and incorporate the latest evidence-based practices into your treatment.
• Uphold professional standards: Maintain the highest ethical standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and delivering top-tier care in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited degree program in Physical Therapy (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate).
