Key Responsibilities- Administer physical therapy treatments under the guidance of licensed physical therapists, utilizing modalities, manual techniques, and exercise protocols.
- Assist patients with a personalized exercise plan designed to enhance mobility and strength, including support with bed mobility, transfers, gait training, and balance exercises.
- Monitor and observe patients before, during, and after therapy sessions, documenting their progress and reporting any changes in their status to the supervising physical therapist.
- Instruct and guide patients and their families on post-treatment care and exercises to facilitate ongoing recovery and self-management.
- Utilize assistive devices such as walkers, canes, and therapy bands to improve patient outcomes during their rehabilitation journey.
- Engage in mentorship activities, training staff members on specialized techniques and enhancing the clinical team's skillset.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the departmental objectives and enhance patient care.
As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Body Flow, you will work primarily with individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, traumatic injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our patient population ranges from athletes recovering from sports-related injuries to elderly clients needing rehabilitation after hip or knee surgeries. You will have the opportunity to develop individualized treatment plans that address diverse needs, ensuring a holistic approach to each patient's journey to recovery.
Qualifications- Graduated from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
- Possession of a valid California Physical Therapist Assistant license.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, alongside a minimum of two years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy.
- Experience working in a rehabilitation setting preferred, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
- Demonstrated ability to use therapeutic modalities, manual techniques, and develop evidence-based exercise programs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective interaction with patients, families, and team members.
