Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized therapy plans based on each patient's specific needs, with the goal of preventing disability, relieving pain, and enhancing functional abilities.
• Evaluate patients using various diagnostic and prognostic tests to assess muscle, nerve, and joint functions and formulate effective treatment strategies.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring proper implementation of care plans and adherence to therapeutic protocols.
• Conduct home assessments to identify environmental barriers and recommend modifications that promote patient independence and safety.
• Administer a range of treatments, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, massage, and the application of physical agents.
• Fit and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, providing modifications as necessary to improve mobility.
• Maintain accurate clinical records by documenting evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharges, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Work closely with the interdisciplinary team during case conferences to evaluate overall treatment effectiveness and adapt plans as needed.
• Engage actively with patients and families, providing education and support regarding therapy processes and self-care techniques.
• Participate in continuous education and training opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills within the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily serves patients overcoming injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions requiring rehabilitation. Your focus will be on restoring functional movement and facilitating independence for individuals of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric populations, each presenting unique challenges and requiring tailored interventions. By employing evidence-based practices, you will contribute crucially to their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Active and valid Physical Therapist license in the State of New Jersey.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• High energy, a positive work ethic, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for candidates with at least two years of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in acute care or homecare settings. Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
