Work EnvironmentThis position will be based onsite at our outpatient office in Little Lake, where you will join a collaborative team of healthcare professionals. The clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation technology and tools designed to support efficient patient evaluations and treatments. Our work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured schedule that allows for a balanced work-life routine.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Physical Therapist at our clinic, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough evaluations for each patient to assess their physical condition and rehabilitation needs, ensuring a tailored approach to treatment.
- Designing and implementing individualized rehabilitation plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and hands-on therapy techniques.
- Utilizing various modalities and manual therapy to enhance healing, alleviate pain, and promote strength in patients recovering from injuries.
- Educating patients on exercises and self-care techniques to manage their recovery at home, reinforced by regular follow-ups to gauge progress and adapt treatment plans accordingly.
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation of all patient interactions and treatment progress within our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) platform, facilitating seamless communication across the multi-disciplinary team.
- Participating in collaborative care discussions with other team members to devise holistic and comprehensive treatment strategies that address each patient's unique needs.
You will work primarily with orthopedic patients, including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our diverse clientele ranges from active athletes to older adults seeking to regain mobility. Personalizing your approach to each patient will be critical in facilitating their recovery and improving their quality of life.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- An active Physical Therapist license in Michigan.
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; candidates holding a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy are encouraged to apply.
- Strong clinical judgment and effective communication skills to foster positive patient relationships.
While a minimum of two years' experience in physical therapy is preferred, we welcome new graduates who are eager to learn and grow professionally. Manual therapy experience will be considered an advantage, but ongoing training and mentorship will be provided regardless of your experience level.
