Work Environment

The physical therapist will work onsite in our rehabilitation facility, which features a welcoming atmosphere and a range of therapeutic spaces to support diverse rehabilitation needs. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life experience.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Elite Physical Therapy & Stability Clinic, your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients, including reviewing medical histories, performing assessments, and documenting findings to create individualized treatment plans.
  • Implementing and modifying treatment protocols based on evaluation results and ongoing patient responses, ensuring evidence-based methodologies are employed.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to discuss patient progress, share insights, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Effectively communicating with patients, families, and external stakeholders regarding treatment options, patient progress, and aftercare plans.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards, capturing all facets of patient care from initial visits to discharge plans.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development by participating in team meetings and adhering to training requirements mandated by the clinic and governing bodies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will focus primarily on orthopedic patients, including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain syndromes, and other musculoskeletal conditions. The diverse patient demographics provide an enriching experience, allowing you to tailor your approach to various clinical presentations and rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:

  • A doctoral degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
  • A valid physical therapy license issued by the state of Virginia.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of experience is required, candidates with a strong background in orthopedic rehabilitation or outpatient services will be viewed favorably. Familiarity with modern therapeutic equipment and techniques, alongside a commitment to continued learning, will enhance your contribution to our clinic.
