Position Overview
Lakeland Health & Fitness is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center located in Torrance, California. In this full-time position, you will be an integral part of a collaborative healthcare team committed to providing exceptional physical therapy services to patients recovering from musculoskeletal conditions and orthopedic injuries.

Work EnvironmentThe rehabilitation center is designed with patient comfort and treatment efficacy in mind. You will work onsite, engaging directly with patients in a collaborative atmosphere among physical therapists, occupational therapists, and physicians. Operating hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent work schedule that promotes work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive initial assessments of patients to determine their needs and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific orthopedic conditions.
- Implement evidence-based interventions including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and the use of various modalities to alleviate pain and promote functional recovery.
- Oversee patients' post-surgical rehabilitation, providing them with education and tools necessary for a successful recovery and continued injury prevention.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, ensuring a coordinated approach to patient care that drives optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients on proper body mechanics, injury prevention strategies, and customized home exercise programs to support their rehabilitation journey.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, treatment progress notes, and care plans in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Engage in continuous professional development by staying up to date with the latest advancements and best practices in orthopedic physical therapy.
You will primarily work with patients suffering from a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, orthopedic injuries, and those requiring rehabilitation following surgical procedures. Your focus will be on enhancing the functional capabilities and overall well-being of every patient through personalized care.
Qualifications- A Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- An active California Physical Therapist license is required to practice in the state.
- CPR and First Aid certification is necessary to ensure safety in clinical practice.
- Ideally, candidates will have 2 to 3 years of experience specifically in orthopedic or musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
- Experience with manual therapy techniques and familiarity with therapeutic modalities will be highly valued.
- Strong diagnostic skills combined with effective communication and collaboration capabilities will enhance your success in this role.
We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 per year, dependent on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
