Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our Albany facility, providing a face-to-face patient experience in a positive and collaborative environment. You will work alongside a close-knit team of two other physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), all united in the common goal of enhancing patient care. Your usual work hours will be from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life. This structured work schedule enables you to maintain consistency and build strong relationships with your patients as they participate in their healing process.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Eligant Axis Behavioral Center, you will carry a rich variety of responsibilities, including:

• Conduct assessments to identify and address the unique rehabilitation goals of each patient.
• Manage a targeted caseload, typically seeing one patient per hour, ensuring that each individual receives comprehensive attention and care.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans incorporating diverse therapeutic techniques tailored to each patient's needs.
• Utilize manual therapy and hands-on techniques to facilitate healing and improve mobility.
• Motivate patients through their rehabilitation journey, fostering a positive attitude toward recovery while educating them on improving their lifestyle.
• Monitor patient progress and adapt treatment plans to ensure maximum effectiveness, keeping thorough documentation of treatments and outcomes for compliance and quality assurance.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The majority of our patients are covered under private insurance, allowing for comprehensive treatment plans without the constraints often associated with other funding sources. You will provide tailored care to individuals seeking to regain their physical capabilities, thus enabling them to return to their daily activities and hobbies.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
• Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New York.
• A clean professional record with no board actions or disciplinary measures.

Preferred Experience

Though fresh graduates may be considered, we prefer candidates who have:

• Clinical experience in orthopedic outpatient therapy settings.
• Proven skills in manual therapy techniques and hands-on treatment methodologies.
• Experience developing and implementing customized exercise regimens.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 100,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
