Work EnvironmentThis position is based at our modern outpatient office in sunny Gainesville, Florida, known for its vibrant community and quality of life. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art tools and technologies, offering an environment conducive to learning and professional growth. You will work Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, in a supportive atmosphere where a balanced work-life is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to better understand their needs and rehabilitation goals.
- Design and implement individualized care plans utilizing various treatment techniques tailored to each patient's condition.
- Offer effective, cost-efficient treatment methodologies that enhance patient mobility and function.
- Create and lead specialized fitness and wellness programs that address specific patient needs and promote long-term health benefits.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans accordingly, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Foster a motivating and encouraging environment to empower patients during their recovery process.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient management.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options and strategies for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
You will primarily work with patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries and surgeries, including post-operative care for joint replacements and trauma. Additionally, you will engage with patients experiencing chronic pain syndromes, sports-related injuries, and age-related conditions. Your interventions will focus not only on rehabilitation but also on educating patients to prevent future injuries.
Qualifications- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; a Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
- Current and active state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- A strong foundation in orthopedic rehabilitation, with at least two years of direct experience treating patients in this specialty.
- Proven ability in administering patient assessments and developing effective treatment plans.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and your healthcare colleagues.
- A patient-centered approach with a demonstrated ability to work with diverse individuals while adapting to various personalities and needs.
- Experience with advanced therapeutic techniques, such as dry needling, manual therapy, or vestibular rehabilitation is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems to facilitate patient documentation and treatment planning.
- Familiarity with evidence-based practices and the latest advancements in orthopedic patient care.
