Position Overview

TheraPlay Child Orthopedic Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Physical Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in Charlottesville, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at TheraPlay, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough Physical Therapy evaluations for pediatric patients, utilizing evidence-based practices to inform your assessments.
• Developing, implementing, and adapting individualized treatment plans to meet the unique rehabilitation goals of each client.
• Regularly reassessing clinical signs and symptoms to evaluate treatment effectiveness, make necessary adjustments, and track progress towards established goals.
• Documenting patient information comprehensively using the company's electronic record system, including SOAP notes and progress summaries, ensuring compliance with all documentation standards.
• Educating patients and their families about treatment plans, recovery processes, and potential challenges, empowering them to engage actively in their rehabilitation journey.
• Meeting minimum utilization targets and contributing to organizational objectives to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
• Collaborating closely with peers in other disciplines, ensuring seamless communication and integrated care for clients receiving multiple services.
• Upholding and promoting the core values of TheraPlay by acting as an ambassador for our culture and commitment to exceptional service.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role primarily focuses on pediatric patients, encompassing a diverse range of ages, backgrounds, and diagnoses. You will be working with children facing orthopedic challenges, developmental delays, and various physical impairments. This position requires a strong desire and ability to connect with children and their families, providing them with tailored therapeutic interventions that facilitate positive outcomes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position must possess:

• A Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and unrestricted licensure by the Board of Physical Therapy in the state of Virginia.
• A willingness to conduct evaluations and treatments both in-person and via telehealth as clinically appropriate.
• A strong commitment to working with diverse patient populations including various ages, races, and ethnicities.
• Flexibility and adaptability to navigate the dynamic nature of a busy therapy environment, particularly given recent changes in healthcare delivery.
• Excellent collaboration skills and a customer-service-oriented mindset to support our patients and enhance their experiences.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in pediatric physical therapy and familiarity with collaborative, team-based approaches will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Previous experience with electronic health record systems is also advantageous.
